The School Sisters of St. Francis is looking for an experienced Archivist to direct and manage the Archives of the School Sisters of St. Francis located on their historic campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  The Archivist will review, update, and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for the preservation, organization, acquisition, and accessibility of archival materials that document the life and mission of the School Sisters of St. Francis.

Maintenance Mechanic
The School Sisters of St. Francis are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to engage in maintenance of the building, grounds and utility systems.  This includes repairs, maintenance and installation of machines and equipment on the campus and SSSF owned houses.  Previous experience is required.  This is a part-time position, 30 hours/week and is benefit eligible.

Food Services Supervisor
The Food Services Supervisor will assist the Food Services Manager in the planning and directing of the food service program at Sacred Heart.

The overall responsibilities include:

  • Aassisting with purchasing and inventory control of food and supplies
  • Training and orienting of staff
  • Collaboration with the supervision and coordination of the daily tasks of the cooks and Food Service Aides in preparing and serving food.
  • Assisting with the supervision and coordination of the daily tasks of the cooks and food service aides in preparing and serving food; may also function as a Cook or Food Services Aide.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in working in a food services area; 3 years of management experience in Food Service. Preferred experience working with the geriatric population.

Safe-Serv certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

This is a full time, benefit eligible position, 40 hours per week on the day/evening shifts.

Food Service Aides
There are (3) three-part time positions, 40 hours per two-week pay period at Sacred Heart. Positions includes weekend and holiday rotation. We also have (2) flex 12 hours plus positions open for the hours of 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Wait staff and food service or customer service experience is preferred.

This position is looking for an individual who would fit our compassionate environment caring for retired women. Responsibilities include working with a team structure, using strong leadership skills in responding to situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocols.

A current State of Wisconsin license is required.


Pastoral Care Services Minister

The U.S. Province of the School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee, WI, a Catholic Religious Community and non-profit organization is looking for a Pastoral Care Services Minister. The Pastoral Care Minister facilitates and coordinates the program of pastoral care services to promote an atmosphere of spiritual wholeness and healing for sister residents, family members and staff at Sacred Heart and St. Joseph Convent. Responsibilities of this position include planning, managing, and developing programs and services which support the spiritual and religious traditions of the School Sisters of St. Francis. The successful candidate will help to integrate the mission and values along with the philosophy and vision into the operational life of Sacred Heart and St. Joseph Convent.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Pastoral Studies, or a closely related field with a minimum 3 years’ experience. One (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred. Valid driver’s license required. This is a full time, 40 hours per week benefit eligible position that includes Health/Dental insurance, company paid Short-term & Long-term Disability, life insurance and 403(b) employer contribution and paid vacation/holiday time. Position requires some evening, weekend and holiday hours.
