Archivist
The International Office for the School Sisters of St. Francis, a Catholic Women Religious Community and non-profit organization, is looking for an experienced Archivist to direct and manage the Archives of the School Sisters of St. Francis located on their historic campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Archivist will review, update, and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for the preservation, organization, acquisition, and accessibility of archival materials that document the life and mission of the School Sisters of St. Francis.

Co-Director of Finance

The U.S. Province of the School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a Catholic Women’s Religious Community, and non-profit organization is looking for a Co-Director of Finance who will be primarily responsible for co-managing the fiscal Affairs of the U.S. Province.

The Co-Director of Finance reports to the Provincial Officers of the U.S Province of the School Sisters of St. Francis and oversees all the province’s financial activities such as investments, budgets and expenditures. The co-director creates financial policies and goals, assists in controlling expenses and develops financial strategies as necessary. The financial management of the province includes preparing reports and financial forecasts and keeping the provincial leadership apprised of important financial information.

Responsibilities include

  • Provides primary support to the treasurer in the financial administration of the U.S. Province’s financial activities, policies and procedures
  • Prepares or directs the preparation of financial reports including budgets, cost studies and statistical analyses, forecasting, assessments, long-range plans and audits
  • Reviews monthly reports to analyze projections against actual figures and recommends methods of improving financial operations
  • Assists leadership in preparation of financial reports, budgets, audits and long-range projections
  • Completes monthly reports on employment activity
  • Assists in the administration of various properties and assets that are the responsibility of the U.S. Province
  • Compiles the annual recommended distribution of mission advancement monies at the end of the fiscal year presentation to the Treasurer and to the board
  • Prepares and signs check requisitions and handles day-to-day activities as directed

Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance is required along with eight or more years working directly in finance
  • A Master’s degree in finance or MBA with a finance specialty is preferred
  • Knowledge of database and accounting computer applications to supply the most accurate financial information
  • A minimum of eight years-experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for financial reporting and multi-faceted direction and planning
  • Advanced computer skills required
  • Possesses excellent communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
  • Supervises the staff of the Finance Department
  • Knowledge of corporate legal requirements preferred
  • Performs any other duties as directed by the Leadership Team pertaining to finance

Recruiter/Human Resources Assistant

The U.S. Province of the School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a Catholic Women’s Religious Community, and non-profit organization is looking for a Recruiter/Human Resources Assistant to recruit for open positions in the nursing, environmental services, maintenance, security and food service departments along with office and salaried  positions as they become available.

The Recruiter/ Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for on-boarding new employees and various other responsibilities in assisting the Human Resources Manager with human resources tasks as needed, such as filing, in-service tracking, review tracking, workers compensation, open-enrollment, along with other Human Resources tasks as needed.  This position will be 24-40 hours per week, or 48-80 hours per pay period position.

Responsibilities include

  • Post open positions
  • Review resumes and phone screen applicants
  • Process job requests from hiring managers
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to determine hiring needs
  • Complete monthly reports on employment activity
  • Track employee start date and tenure
  • Track in-service attendees and review dates
  • Assist HR Manager with HR tasks as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university pertaining to Human Resources.
  • 3-5 years of recruitment and human resources experience preferred.
  • 3 years of proven experience required.
  • Advanced computer skills preferred (Excel, Word, HRIS system).
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Valid unencumbered Driver’s license required.

NURSING POSITIONS:

RN/LPN
We have four (4) part time positions open for a RN/ LPN to work at our Sacred Heart facility. One position is 72 hours per pay period, two positions are 48 hours per pay period and one position is 40 hours per pay period. Hours are from: 2:30pm-11:00pm with weekend and holiday rotation.

At School Sisters of St. Francis, our staff get to know and interact with those they serve while assuring quality of life - physical, social, psychological and spiritual. This position is looking for an individual who would fit our compassionate environment caring for retired women religious at Sacred Heart, our skilled nursing and assisted living facility.

Responsibilities include working within a team structure, using strong nursing skills in responding to situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocols.

Current State of Wisconsin RN or LPN License is required.

Benefits for health, dental, vision, life insurance as well as 403(b) are available.

CNA
We have three (3) openings for a CNA to work 40 hours per pay period on our pm shift, from 2:30pm-11:00pm, with every other weekend and holiday rotation at our Sacred Heart, skilled nursing and assisted living facility, located in Milwaukee, WI.

  • Candidate must be registered on the State of Wisconsin CNA Registry and possess current Wisconsin certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Ability to read, write and speak English is required

SECURITY POSITIONS:

Lead Security Officer
We have one (1) full time, 80 hours per pay period position for a Lead Security Officer on our pm shift. Must have three years of security experience and some supervisor/management experience. Hours are from 3:00pm-11:00pm.

Duties include:

  • securing premises,
  • monitoring surveillance
  • assisting other departments, visitors, tenants, and residents.

The position requires ability to encounter people in a tactful and diplomatic manner.  Continuous walking and standing are required.

Benefits available.

Security Officer
We have one (1) part time, 24 hours per pay period position for a Security Officer on our pm shift. Hours are from 3:00pm-11:00pm, every other, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Must have three years of Security experience.

Duties include:

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE POSITION:

Environmental Service Aide

The U.S. Province of the School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a Catholic Women’s Religious Community, and non-profit organization is looking for a full-time Environmental Service Aide.

Responsibilities include

• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and vacuuming hallways, stairs and office space.

• Emptying and sanitizing trash and garbage containers.

• Assisting with laundry.

• Performs cleaning tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• 2 years of Housekeeping experience in a health care setting preferred.

• Positive, upbeat personality a must.

This position is a full-time Monday through Friday, non-exempt, benefit eligible position from 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m., with every 7th weekend worked.  We offer health, dental, vision, and 403B, and Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life-Insurance and Voluntary Accident Insurance along with generous vacation time off and 403B match.

FOOD SERVICE POSITIONS:

Food Service Aide

We have six (6) part time positions open for Food Service Aides to work a variety of hours per pay period. Hours range from 6:00am-6:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart. Positions includes weekend and holiday rotation. Some positions are benefit eligible.

Wait staff and food service or customer service experience is preferred.
