Kitchen Utility Lead
The School Sisters of St. Francis are currently looking for an experienced Kitchen Utility Lead/Prep Cook to drive maintenance of kitchen work areas, stock, equipment and utensils.  Additionally, in conjunction with the Food Service Catering Supervisor, this role provides leadership, support and guidance to ensure that inventory levels, food safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.  This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week and is benefit eligible.

Maintenance Mechanic
The School Sisters of St. Francis are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to engage in maintenance of the building, grounds and utility systems.  This includes repairs, maintenance and installation of machines and equipment on the campus and SSSF owned houses.  Previous experience is required.  This is a part-time position, 30 hours/week and is benefit eligible.

Mission Advancement Associate
We currently have an opening for a Mission Advancement Associate. This position would be responsible for overall administrative support of the Mission Advancement department functions and staff members as it relates to major gifts, annual giving, event planning and office management. This position plays an integral role in helping the department run smoothly and efficiently to meet its annual goals.

Utility Aide
The School Sisters of St. Francis are currently looking for for a Utility Aide to engage in cleaning, maintaining and securing the common areas of the buildings and grounds of the School Sisters of St. Francis. Previous experience with floor equipment is preferred. This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, and is benefit eligible.

Bus Driver
Part-time bus driver position available with the School Sisters of St. Francis; training available. CDL not required. Looking for responsible individual to provide safe transportation for elderly adults within the Milwaukee area. Drive a 11-passenger bus to and from various residences and other locations within the city.

  • Must have physical ability to manage wheelchairs and walkers.
  • Must have general knowledge of the community to allow for safe and efficient movement between locations.
  • Must be 24 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least five years driving experience as a licensed driver, a driving record clear of revocations, suspensions and cancellation in the past five years, and the ability to read, write and speak clearly in English.

Weekend, evening, and holiday shifts required. Experience or education concerning elder care preferred but not required. CPR and first Aid Certification required; training can be provided. Pay range is $10.00 to $13.00 depending upon experience. Become a member of a larger, mission driven team providing excellent customer service to seniors.

Part-time: Saturday: late afternoon as needed, Sunday: morning – mid-afternoon. Occasional other hours as needed.


Food Service Aides
There are (5) five-part time positions, 42 and 18 hours per two-week pay period at Sacred Heart. Positions include weekend and holiday rotation. We also have (2) flex 15 hours plus positions and (1) one 12 plus flex position open for the hours of 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Wait staff and food service or customer service experience is preferred.


Certified Nursing Assistant
We have one (1) opening for a Certified Nursing Assistant to work 40 hours per pay period (.5) on our p.m. shift, from 2:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m. with every other weekend at our Sacred Heart facility. Candidate must possess current Wisconsin license as a Certified Nursing Assistant. The ability to read, write and speak English is required.


Pastoral Care Services Minister

The U.S. Province of the School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee, WI, a Catholic Religious Community and non-profit organization is looking for a Pastoral Care Services Minister. The Pastoral Care Minister facilitates and coordinates the program of pastoral care services to promote an atmosphere of spiritual wholeness and healing for sister residents, family members and staff at Sacred Heart and St. Joseph Convent. Responsibilities of this position include planning, managing, and developing programs and services which support the spiritual and religious traditions of the School Sisters of St. Francis. The successful candidate will help to integrate the mission and values along with the philosophy and vision into the operational life of Sacred Heart and St. Joseph Convent.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Pastoral Studies, or a closely related field with a minimum 3 years’ experience. One (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred. Valid driver’s license required. This is a full time, 40 hours per week benefit eligible position that includes Health/Dental insurance, company paid Short-term & Long-term Disability, life insurance and 403(b) employer contribution and paid vacation/holiday time. Position requires some evening, weekend and holiday hours.
