Sister Donna Weiss

Sister Donna WeissSister Donna Weiss was born in Aurora, Illinois. She received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Alverno College and a master’s degree in Religious Studies from Mundelein College.

In the Archdiocese of New York, Sister taught at St. Monica School in New York City (1951-1960).

In the Diocese of Joliet, Illinois, Sister taught at St. Luke School in Carol Stream (1960-1965).

In the Diocese of Rockford, Illinois, she was a teacher at St. Nicholas School in Aurora (1966-1967); Cathedral School in Rockford (1967-1970); Our Lady of Good Counsel in Aurora (1975-1977); and Sacred Heart School in Aurora (1977-1982). Sister was a secretary for the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart community in Aurora (1983-1987).

In the Diocese of Peoria, Illinois, Sister was a religious education consultant in Pesotum (1970-1971) and at the Southern District Board of Education in Tolono (1971-1974).

In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Sister served at the St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport as personnel director (1987-1995); activity director (1995-1997); in personal services (1997-2005); and as a volunteer (2005-2012). She also volunteered at St. Joseph Center in Milwaukee (2013-2016). Sister Donna now serves in the ministry of prayer and presence at Sacred Heart.
