Doors Open Milwaukee

St. Joseph Chapel will be open on Saturday for Historic Milwaukee’s Doors Open Milwaukee open house event. Take a self-guided tour of the newly restored, 109-year-old Italian Romanesque Revival chapel. The space features soaring marble columns, unique mosaics, and over 100 stained-glass windows crafted in Innsbruck, Austria. The School Sisters of St. Francis will be present to share highlights, point out architectural details, and answer questions. Photography is welcome, and all ages are encouraged to attend.

St. Joseph Chapel is located on the second floor of St. Joseph Center and is accessible via stairs or elevator. Our receptionist will direct you to the Chapel.

Please park in the Sacred Heart lot, entering at S. 28th St. and W. Lapham St. and parking on the north side of the lot, by St. Joseph Chapel. Proceed through the pedestrian gate to Layton Blvd. and then go north to the first entrance door (marked 1501-1515), closest to the large, illuminated sign.
