The School Sisters of St. Francis are an international community of Catholic sisters who unite with others to build a just and peaceful world. Founded in 1874, we now have more than 1,000 sisters, associates, staff, donors and volunteers actively working to address the needs of those who are poor and marginalized by society. Our mission is thriving with five provinces serving the United States, Europe, Latin America and India.

Our Mission…

…is to live the Good News of Jesus and witness to the presence of God as we enter into the lives and needs of people around the world, especially those who are poor. We strive to be a source of new life, new meaning and new hope.

Our Vision…

…is a world transformed through peace, justice and love.
