Sister Angela Ireland
Sister Angela Ireland was born in Gloucester, England. She received a certificate in elementary education from Coloma College in England, and a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in theology from Marquette University in Milwaukee. In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Sister served as religious education coordinator at St. Mary Parish in Menomonee Falls (1978-1981); director of religious education at Christ King Parish in Wauwatosa (1981-1983), St. Matthias Parish in Milwaukee (1983-1984), and St. Dominic Parish in Brookfield (1984-1986). Sister served as a resource in pastoral ministry in Milwaukee (1986-1988), as a consultant in lay ministry formation for parishes in Whitefish Bay (1992-1997), and as a consultant in adult spiritual formation for the Diocese of Davenport, Iowa, and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee (1992-1997), where she also served as director of Project Connect (2003-2005). She served as coordinator and director of personal and spiritual enrichment for the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi in Milwaukee (1998-2002); director of adult faith formation at St. Paul Parish in Genesee Depot (2002-2003); and chaplain at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfield (2005-2012), and at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee (2012 to present). Sister resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
