Joseph Bowls Update
May 7, 2020
We are excited to provide an update on the status of our 2020 Joseph Bowls Supper to eradicate hunger!
As you probably remember, we needed to cancel Joseph Bowls at the very last minute back in March due to the quickly increasing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Because of the generosity of so many of our friends and partners in mission, we are only a few dollars away from meeting our revenue goal of $15,000, even without physically holding the Joseph Bowls event! God is surely good and is always revealed to us in the care of so many of you. Your generosity means that we will still be able to provide much-needed funds to Sisters Program South in Milwaukee and the Casa Alexia meal program in Juárez, Mexico. The needs are greater than ever before because of the financial impact of COVID-19, and we are so happy to be able to do our part in helping to feed the hungry.
Since we will most likely meet and even exceed our Joseph Bowls revenue goal, we have decided to not reschedule Joseph Bowls to a later date in Fall 2020, as we had previously reported to you. We will report our March 2021 date once that has been determined.
We do have continued opportunities this year, though, for you to help fight hunger with the School Sisters of St. Francis!
The silent auction baskets that would have been featured at Joseph Bowls are carefully stored for now, until we can hold either an online auction or another silent auction at an in-person event. These internationally-themed baskets were lovingly prepared by our silent auction committee and celebrate the “eyes of the children” all over the world. Stay tuned for further developments!

Thank you for your prayerful support of mission, and please know that we hold you in our prayers and our hearts as well.
