Motivation to be a Tau Volunteer

Jo Ann and Sister Ruth Ann Iwanski
From left: Jo Ann and Sister Ruth Ann Iwanski worked together at David Appalachian Crafts in Kentucky

As I have been dealing with the sudden and unexpected loss of my husband, I have become a more reflective person.  As I evaluated my life I realized that I have had a very wonderful and blessed life.  God gave me many talents and gifts.  For whatever reason he set me on this new path - a path I would have never chosen.  Because I was on this path, I decided that I had to make the most of the opportunity that God set before me.  Essential to dealing with grief, I felt, was to share with others the gifts that I had been given.  With that in mind, I sought out a volunteer opportunity in which I could help others.  As it turns out, I feel as though the
people that I intended to help have helped me as much as I may have helped them.
