From May 24-27, 54 students from St. Joseph High School in Kenosha carried out their senior service projects with the School Sisters of St. Francis as a way of connecting with the Franciscan heritage and values of their school. The students spent Monday at St. Joseph Center learning about the history of the congregation, touring St. Joseph Chapel and listening to a panel discussion about current ministries. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the students traveled in small groups to various service sites including St. Clare Management, Layton Boulevard West Neighbors, Three Oaks Circle, St. Josaphat Parish School, The Last Stop Shop and Alfons Gallery. In addition to service projects, a group of students who had been in the school musical performed a medley of songs at St. Joseph Center, Sacred Heart Center, Community Care, Three Oaks Circle and Clement Manor. The students had wonderful experiences participating in the mission of our community.
