Ministry of Retired Sisters Our motherhouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has stood as an anchor for our sisters from around the world for over 125 years. More than 50 retired sisters live at St. Joseph Convent and nearly 50 retired sisters live at Sacred Heart Convent. These facilities are located adjacent to each other on the School Sisters of St. Francis Campus. St. Joseph Convent Retirement Home in Campbellsport, Wisconsin, houses 170 sisters. In addition, some retired sisters live in many smaller homes throughout the United States, continuing their volunteer ministries to God’s people. Retired School Sisters have spent their lives serving others in ministries such as teaching or school administration, health care, pastoral outreach, the fine arts and human services. In retirement, sisters continue to minister through prayer and some sisters remain active in teaching and tutoring, volunteering, and continuing their ministry in music and fine arts. Sisters often help by accompanying other sisters to doctor appointments or driving sisters who can no longer drive themselves. Sisters make an impact for social justice by educating themselves on current issues, writing their legislators, and voting. >> St. Joseph Convent - Milwaukee >> Sacred Heart Convent - Milwaukee >> St. Joseph Convent Retirement Home - Campbellsport
