Casa Alexia –
A border ministry/Un ministerio
en la frontera
Casa Alexia Newsletter
Casa Alexia in El Paso, Texas,
is a joint ministry of the U.S. and Latin American Provinces
of the School Sisters of St. Francis. The purpose of the mission
is to stand in solidarity with immigrants, including women
who are survivors of human trafficking, and to advocate for
just immigration policies while working collaboratively with
others. Casa Alexia welcomes School Sisters,
associates, Tau
Volunteers, and others to participate in an immersion experience to learn about the conditions of immigrants at the border.
As School Sisters of St. Francis “our mission is to witness to the Good News of Jesus and the presence of the reign of God as we enter into the lives and needs of people, especially people who are poor.” (SSSF Response in Faith)
