Human Trafficking
The School Sisters of St. Francis collaborated with other congregations in Wisconsin to send letters about human trafficking and the Super Bowl to Packer players, Packer leaders, the mayor of Irving and the Super Bowl Committee. School Sisters, especially sisters and associates serving along the U.S.-Mexico border, are actively educating Catholic parishioners and others about the issue of human trafficking. Sisters have attended workshops along with Texas law enforcement officials and others to learn more about this ever-growing problem along the border and in various parts of the U.S. To learn more about anti-human trafficking efforts, visit the websites of the Sisters of the Divine Savior and the Intercommunity Peace and Justice Center. |
