From January 23 – 28, 2009, the School Sisters of St. Francis International Leadership Team met in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with the SSSF provincial leadership teams from around the world. These spiritual leadership teams represent the provinces of Europe, North and South India, Latin America and the United States. “BE THE FACE OF THE GOSPEL AS SPIRITUAL LEADERS” was the theme of the meeting and set the context for reflection and discussion on deepening the relationships across provinces and strengthening our international identity.  As spiritual leaders, the sisters developed concrete ways to invite all members in the provinces to participate and be attentive to the Spirit of God speaking in each person as they looked toward the future of our international congregation.
