Sisters from the five SSSF provinces have arrived for the General Assembly Finance Committee meeting, which takes place from June 17-19, 2008 in St. Joseph Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The members of this committee are S. Erna Maria Zimmerer - European Province, S. Louise Bernier (chair) - U.S. Province, Hna. Lucía Ramírez - ULAF (Latin American Province), S. Lucy Kalapurackel - Assisi Province, S. Phyllis Vater - U.S. Province and S. Sruthi Chiriyankandath (Not pictured) - St. Francis Province. Also attending the meeting are members of the SSSF Finance Office, S. Catherine Ryan, S. Charlita Foxhoven, Dan Tretow, Scott Bunke and the members of the School Sisters of St. Francis International Leadership Team, S. Kathleen Kluthe, S. Patricia Baier, S. Arlene Woelfel and S. Rita Eble.

We, the International Team, are aware that the way we use our resources reflects our values and spirituality. Our budget shows how we implement the mandates and the Congregational Direction of the 2006 General Assembly. According to Response in Faith 74.8 the functions of the Finance Committee are to approve the Generalate budget and to accept the Generalate audit.
