Ways to Give
Planned Giving

You can become a part of the work of the School Sisters by your generosity both now and in the future. Considering a planned gift will insure the future of the School Sisters and our ministries. If you would be interested in making a gift of ongoing significance, the ideas below may be of interest to you.

  • Cash Gifts
Cash contributions are easy to make. They can be designated for the immediate needs of the School Sisters.

  • Gifts of Appreciated Property
Stocks, bonds, savings bonds or mutual funds which have increased in value since you bought them make excellent gifts.

  • Bequest
A bequest in a will is a final way that a person can support a charity. Bequests can take on a number of forms: a fixed amount may be designated; a percentage of the total assets of the estate may be designated; or specific property such as securities, real estate or personal property may be designated. A residual bequest is a gift which assigns whatever property is left over after other bequests have been fulfilled.

  • Life Income Gifts
Gifts can be made in the form of life income agreements through Gift Annuity, Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust and Charitable Remainder Unitrust. These agreements provide a lifetime income in exchange for an irrevocable gift.

  • Tangible Personal Property
Antiques, works of art, jewelry or other collectibles make practical and meaningful gifts.

  • Real Estate
If real estate or other property has increased in value, it is sometimes more advantageous to give such property rather than to retain the property and give cash.

  • Life Insurance
Life insurance policies can allow you to make a gift of assets you no longer need.

  • Retirement Plans
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), company-sponsored pension and profit sharing plans make excellent gifts.

Gifts may be unrestricted or tied to a specific program. For more information please contact the International Office of Development, 1501 S Layton Blvd., Milwaukee, WI 53215 or call/email:
