Lord, we want to be the Franciscan face in the world today.

Give us the light that we need,
the firm steps to follow,
the openness to hear your voice
and the necessary grace
to learn to walk together.

We are an international community.
We want to see your face in our world.
Help us recognize that in spite of our cultural and provincial differences, you call us to build our community.

Let Mother Alexia, Mother Alfons and Sister Clara, intercede for us in this time of preparation for the General Assembly, so that we can act with the same fidelity and courage
as they did.

Let Saint Francis and Saint Clare be the light on our journey today, and that with your help
we might be able to recognize that you are at our side building our history.

God our Creator, everything that we are or have comes from you.

You gave each Sister unique gifts,
so that she can fulfill her responsibilities
in our service as Sisters of an International Congregation.

We thank you for these gifts and we ask you
to guide our thoughts and our actions
so that they contribute first and foremost to building up the community.
(1 Corinthians 14, 12)

Give us your Holy Spirit in all our preparations for the General Assembly 2010 and for the election of a new International Team.

Almighty God, we thank you for the innumerable blessings that you are showering upon our congregation.

Thank you, Lord, for the divine call that we have received to be with you and to be sent out.
You are the vine and we are the branches, called to bear fruit, the fruit that is lasting.
Jesus you have come to give life, life in abundance.

Dear Lord, as we are preparing for the forth coming General Assembly, send forth your Spirit upon the members of our congregation
to discern the will of God to serve you by serving the people of God.

Grant us Lord, zealous and dedicated leaders to lead our congregation according to the Spirit of our Father, St. Francis and our foundresses
Mother Alexia, Mother Alfons and Sister Clara.
Thus we bring your kingdom's peace and joy wherever we are.
